Day Two

Here is Ann with her cat George next to their circa 1472 home.
Another spectacular day! Our tour guide Ann Gray gave us a wonderful walking tour of beautiful Ludlow [she lives there, too]. The choir broke into a spontaneous anthem on the lawn outside St. Lawrence Cathedral in Ludlow. That was beautiful!

Ludlow is a great town. Very, very charming. Then, we had free time in town -- ate ice cream, bought used LPs, drank tea and enjoyed beautiful weather. We go back tomorrow for a tour of Stokesay Castle.

Gloucester Cathedral

Rehearsal for Evensong

After our Ludlow excursion, we grabbed "take away" lunch from school and hopped on our coach to Gloucester where the choir sang Evensong in Gloucester Cathedral. It is an awesome cathedral and they did a really wonderful job!!!!

The kids were thrilled to learn that the Cloisters of Gloucester was where Harry Potter One was filmed
The Cathedral was abuzz because they are hosting a huge flower show on Wednesday. Gardeners were busy creating beautiful works of art all over the space.

Some of the group visited the courtyard at Gloucester.
They made this arrangement just for us [just kidding]

Our coach driver Dave brought us safely back to school were we ate dinner and celebrated Meredith's birthday with a delicious chocolate cake!

The kids [and adults] are all getting along "brilliantly" and we are having such a wonderful time. Everyone is happy and really having a lot of fun together.

No singing tomorrow...back to Ludlow. Hope the weather is as great as it was today.

Susan
